In history, Britain and France have been at war for more than 1 century. They have always been major enemies and have always hated each other.
Prior to the Norman Conquest of 1066, there were no armed conflicts between France and Britain. But, they were subject to repeating Viking invasions.
One Sunday, Britain celebrated beating the French in a historical pivotal sea battle off the Spanish coast. There was a conflict between Britain and France.
It began to come after 1664 when the British captured the colony of New Amsterdam from the Dutch.
Britain has also captured many spots in the Americas, like what is now the US. France, on the other side, had colonies set up in what is now Canada, with
Britain trying to kick them out, and France retaliating in the same way. France has always been against Britain, like in the American Revolution.
Also, during the Hundred Years War, which is one of the most famous wars in history, was just Britain and France trying to gain control of each others land.
France has always been very rich, with a larger army then Britain and more mercenaries. But, Britain has still been attempting to gain control of their lands,
in which some cases, they easily succeeded, because of their famous British Longbowmen.
Britain had captured France, and their kings were the rightful heirs to the French crown. But, they revolted, leaving the British mad at them, again. Without giving up, Britain invaded and invaded, hoping to reclaim their lands. As time passed by, they got more sophisticated and stopped attacking each other. Now, they are in the U.N. at peace, but the citizens of each country still have hate towards each other.
